Experience Wink #16: Beware of Goblins (and Candy) ๐ŸŽƒ

Itโ€™s Halloween week, and the goblins are out. ๐Ÿ‘ป
Not the kind that knock on your door... These goblins sneak into event planning when you skip the strategy.

They whisper things like:
๐Ÿ‘ป โ€œJust find a cool venue.โ€
๐Ÿ‘ป โ€œLetโ€™s add more sessions.โ€
๐Ÿ‘ป โ€œPeople will love this giveaway!โ€

Those are the goblins of reaction. โ€‹
โ€‹
And theyโ€™ll eat your time, your budget, and your sanity if you let them.

But let's not forget about candy. ๐Ÿญ

All those shiny ideas that look irresistible but leave you with a sugar crash afterward. Things like

๐ŸญTrendy photo booths
๐ŸญInteresting but off-brand entertainment
๐ŸญOverstuffed agendas. The 15th panel that couldโ€™ve been one.)

So this weekโ€™s Experience Wink is a little Halloween PSA for every CEO and planner out there:
โ€‹Before you start doing, stop and think.

Here are 10 ways to do that with both the CEO level and the event planner in mind.

This mindset is at the core of what Iโ€™m building right now to help both CEOs and event planners turn their events into experiences. I have a few new GPTs coming out to help!

โ€‹
So a lesson - before we get hit by goblins or sticky with candy, let's pause long enough to think strategically. It will definitely help at the dentist. ๐Ÿ˜‚

๐Ÿ‘‰ Whatโ€™s the biggest challenge you face when youโ€™re responsible for an event?โ€‹
Do reply and let me know if there's something top of mind, as I would love to build that into my GPT flow.

Keep thinking, keep winking,
โ€” Denise
